Clean Shot Living

A Sober and Transitional Residential Community

Tom Zarro chose a career in shipping logistics and moved overseas to learn his trade. He returned to Southern California 4 years later and married his beautiful wife, Kim. Tom and Kim raised three children in San Diego and when the family was grown, they thought a pre-retirement transition to Las Vegas was a move they were ready to make. A few years later, as a member of and former president of the San Diego Chapter of Cocaine Anonymous, Tom was asked for help by a friend whose son was in trouble. Tom reached out to community leaders and found Erlinda Carroll, also known as "EC", running a sober living residence.

EC’s devotion to recovery caught the attention of Tom Zarro while she was working at a sober living residence. He was impressed by her passion for helping people recover from a life of addiction. Tom soon asked EC to partner with him as he wanted to start a sober living / transitional housing property. They started with one unit, in an apartment complex Tom owned. EC got four sober living clients into that first unit and with that clean shot was born. Now four years later they have 8 units and 100 residents which consists of sober living clients and Vets. Today EC is a prominent figure in the recovery community and a well-known, respected woman in Las Vegas, NV. She has touched hundreds of lives with her humble and compassionate nature and is known for going above and beyond to rescue, love and mentor the people that come to Clean Shot Living.

Clean Shot Living mission is to provide housing, resources, and services to those seeking to rebuild their lives from the effects of addiction, abuse, and homelessness.

It was a year later that Tom’s interest in real estate, helping others and EC’s passion for recovery collided and Clean Shot Living was born. They started with one unit and four clients. According to Tom they’ve only just begun.

Erlinda Carroll(EC)

Executive Director/Founder

Erlinda Carroll (a.k.a. EC) was born November 9,1970 in Yuma Arizona. EC came from humble beginnings and faced many challenges growing up as a bi-racial child
from a broken home. She struggled academically and socially in school.

EC moved to Las Vegas at the age of 16 with her father, who was a musician. Living with her father was a fun and joyful part of her childhood however, he wasn’t a real
disciplinarian and liked to party. This was her first introduction into the drug life. Erlinda started using meth between the ages of 21-39 years old which quickly became an everyday lifestyle.  She went to jail for the first time at 18 and after 27 arrests and being incarcerated once, she was looking at a 5 to life sentence by the time she was 39 years old.

By God’s grace, the judge instead sentenced her to drug court plus either an AA or NA program which she completed and has remained sober since April 22, 2011.

Now they have four years later 2017, eight buildings and over one hundred residents which consists of sober living clients and Vets. Today EC is a prominent figure in the recovery community and a well-known, respected woman
in Las Vegas, NV. She has touched hundreds of lives with her humble and compassionate nature and is known for going above and beyond to rescue, love

and mentor the people that come to Clean Shot Living.
